I believe the same methods used to prove physical phenomena can be used to study and document spiritual phenomena.
For example, given the developments in nanotechnology and MRI imaging, it won't be long before science can detect, measure and prove the existence of or changes in human brain chemistry and spiritual energy, that occur in cases of demonic oppression and healing through spiritual treatment such as deliverance prayer.
The same way microscopes proved the existence of "invisible" viruses and bacteria that caused physical infection, I believe technology will be used to prove the existence of demonic energies that cause criminal, mental and physical addictions, as well as the power of prayer to cast out these "spiritual viruses" so that the human mind and spirit can be permanently healed.

. In practice, parapsychologists try to appear scientific, but there is more to the scientific method than using precise tools, making notes, and drawing conclusions. When the scientific method is applied, conclusions must be supported by the physical evidence. In parapsychology, it is more common to see a researcher take a bunch of measurements and then state that the measurements did not disprove the paranormal phenomena, and then draw a conclusion along the lines of "What else could it be?"
. A few (very few) people have applied the scientific method to alleged paranormal phenomena. For some reason, these few kept trying to provide scientific proof of the paranormal, but found only evidence of fraud, or completely normal explanations for the phenomena.. Most who have applied the scientific method in the field leave the field, having satisfied themselves that the field is not valid.

All objective investigations of the world and its phenomena uses our five perceptionary senses and tools that enhance are ability to see or hear or touch or smell or taste, tools such as seeing our reflections in water, magnifying glasses, microscopes, telescopes, and an incredible array of sensory tools that "read" temperature or electrical magnetic energy, etc. Parapsychology science uses every and any tool it can find to survey phenomenon.

The scientific method can be used in any situation in any occasion and for any kind of research - all that entails is taking notes and making comparisons to form conclusions from hypotheses - you have your apples and pears mixed up, as we say

Yep. Which is why they never have any actual results - when you're not cheating, it doesn't work.
