not according to modern physics because all things eventually break down to their smallest components via the process of entropy . On the other hand it can be argued that origional ideas have the capacity to exist without changing

If all the truth about the universe, including all the changes that have occurred therein, were contained in an all-encompassing continuum, such as a recording of all events over all time and space, then that body of truth could be seen as permanent and unchanging. The events and perceptions may have changed within the process of occuring across time, but if each event and every change is included as another event, then the collective truth still has not changed.
That truth may be considered as existing independently of the events, since these occur on their own, and the truth is just the recording of these events; or these could be considered interconnected since the truth reflects the events that occurred.
It is possible for this truth to be permanent, but it could be that after it is fulfilled, everything ends.
So it is "possible" for it to exist under the given conditions you specify, but it may not be considered independent or it may not be permanent.

Nothing can exist independently or permanently.
If a stone exists independently or permanently, then it cannot be corroded by wind, rain and sun. What seems to be permanent to us is due to our short existence here on Earth.

Well, since this is in the parapsychology section, I'm going to say that yes, Spirit can exist independently, or "God" if you're so inclined, without changing. The Bible, the Qu'ran, and many other religious books say that God/Spirit is "never-changing" and that God has "always been." If God has always been, and never changes, I would say he/she/it defines the answer to your question. Not really sure if that's a comforting thought, though, or a freaky one.

No . It cannot . It is because all thing must have reason to make it exist and it also will change frequentry and not permanently .

Anything truely independant should not change. Change occurs when something else acts on a thing. Overall our universe should not change (no net change) but it appears to be breaking down (more is detroyed than created). This property is called entropy.

Everything is relative to an energy source. Energy cannot be destroyed, but only transformed.
The answer you seek is 'No'.
Einstein proved this in his energy theory and equation.
Footnote: E=MC2 is a verifiable law that now with new insight, opens the Pandora's box of theories delving into string theory and even paranormal activity.

Life's a cycle it may appear to change but eventually it will be in the same state. It will happen a Rock melts than becomes the same rock in infinite time again

The essence of a soul can not change, only the awareness around it. that spark of God is eternal and unchanging.independent, Yes, but connected by the Spirit.

Lao Tzu refers to it as the Tao.
"The Tao is like an empty bowl,
Which in being used can never be filled up.
Fathomless, it seems to be the origin of all things"

I would have to say the answer would be chaos. While it may be a constant boiling mass of change its fundamental nature remains unchanged.

icklejop and bofh772 are both correct, and the best answers I've ever come across for a very good question.

God is the only answer that fits the question. That is why He is GOD. Duh!! He is God, He is love, He is the Way, the TRUTH and the life. And I believe it. Will you??
